CashBlack Friday Prize Draw - November 2023

Version 1 - 22 November 2023

  1. Entry Instructions: To celebrate Black Friday, we are running a prize draw, The CashBlack Friday prize draw, on the terms set out below (the “Terms”). To enter into the ‘spin the wheel’ prize draw you must make a successful purchase with your Curve card during the Promotional Period (“Eligible Transaction”).

  2. Promotional Period: The CashBlack Friday prize draw will commence at 09:00 GMT on the 24th November 2023 and finish at 23:59 GMT on 26th November 2023.

  3. Eligible Customers: The prize draw is available to new or existing Curve customers who are residents of the United Kingdom and countries in the European Economic Area (EEA) and are aged 18 years or over at the date of entry, excluding employees of Curve UK Limited, Curve Europe UAB, Curve Credit Limited, Curve US Inc., and their immediate families, associated agents, or anyone professionally connected with the offer. Curve accepts no liability for users who do not qualify for entry into the Prize Draw.

  4. The CashBlack Friday prize draw: When you make an Eligible Transaction during the Promotional Period you will gain an entry into the CashBlack Friday prize draw to win a number of prizes showing in the ‘spin the wheel’ displayed in the Curve app. If you make an Eligible Transaction with Primark, Argos or Waterstones (in accordance with the Curve  Rewards and Curve Cash Scheme Terms), your entries into the CashBlack Friday prize draw will be tripled.

  5. The Winners: The winners will be chosen randomly from entries received in accordance with these Terms. Each winner will be contacted via the email address registered to their respective Curve account. The email will contain instructions that must be followed by the winner to claim the prize. If the winner does not follow the instructions within 30 days, Curve reserves the right to select alternative winners from all remaining valid entries, with the originally selected winner forfeiting their right to the prize.

  6. Prize Redemption: Within 60 days of following the instructions mentioned in paragraph 5 above (unless communicated differently to the winners via email), the winner shall receive the prize. The prize is as stated and is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and not redeemable for cash or other prizes.

  7. Curve Cash Points. If your prize is or includes Curve Cash Points, these will be paid to your Curve Cash card (visible in the Curve app) in accordance with the Curve Cash terms found here. FSCS protection does not apply to the funds held on your Curve Cash Card. To learn more about how we protect your funds and how we minimise your risk, go here. More information can be found on the FCA website itself, here.

  8. Disqualification: Any person persistently trying to circumvent the Terms will be immediately disqualified from the prize draw. Any person who creates or attempts to create duplicate Curve accounts to obtain entries into the prize draw will be ineligible, including any person who cancels an existing Curve Account and signs up for a new one to take advantage of the prize draw. Curve reserves the right to disqualify customers where there are reasonable grounds to believe they are acting fraudulently or where there has been a breach of these Terms or any instructions forming part of the prize draw.

  9. Suspending or amending the Prize Draws and/or Terms: Curve retains the right to amend these Terms and/or the prize draw without any prior notice, including, without limitation, due to circumstances outside of its reasonable control.

  10. Liability:

  1. Curve is not responsible for any entries which fail to be registered or are delayed for any technical or other reason whatsoever.

  2. Curve retains the right to substitute any prize with another prize of similar value in the event the original prize offered is not available anymore for any reason whatsoever.

  3. Curve accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the prize draw or accepting or using the prize, including where you have been awarded a prize due to a technical error, except where it is caused by its negligence.

  4. Nothing in these Terms shall exclude the liability of Curve for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of its negligence.

  1. Use of Personal Data: Personal data provided will be used for the purposes of administering the prize draw and your Curve account. Please see the Curve’s Privacy Policy here.

  2. Law and Jurisdiction: These Terms are governed by English law and any legal proceedings in relation to them will be held in the English courts if you are a United Kingdom resident and by Lithuanian law and Lithuanian courts if you are a Lithuanian resident. If you are resident in an EEA country, nothing in these Terms prevents you from taking legal action in the country in which you reside.
